In short

What does an AI consultant do?

An AI consultant studies how your organization actually works, identifies the specific tasks where AI would save time or money, estimates the cost and risk of each, and gives you a prioritized plan. A good consultant also tells you where AI is not worth it. Bit Microsystems provides AI consulting in Kathmandu for businesses, institutions and NGOs, as a short, clearly scoped engagement that ends with a written roadmap.

What is included

Everything needed to make it work in practice

One team covers the full job, so there are no gaps between suppliers.

01

Workflow interviews

We talk to the people who do the work, not only management, and watch how tasks are really carried out.

02

Opportunity map

Every candidate use of AI placed on a simple chart of impact against effort, so priorities are obvious.

03

Data and systems review

A check of whether your data and software are ready, and what needs fixing first.

04

Build-or-buy recommendations

For each need, whether an existing product, a configured tool or a custom build makes the most sense.

05

Risk and privacy notes

Where confidential data is involved, what could go wrong, and how to guard against it.

06

Written roadmap

A prioritized plan with budget ranges, a suggested first pilot, and how to measure whether it worked.

Where it is used

Who this helps, and how

Typical situations we design for in Kathmandu and across Nepal.

Owners unsure where to begin

You hear about AI constantly and want a clear, unbiased view of what applies to your business.

Before a major purchase

An independent assessment before committing budget to software, hardware or a vendor.

After a pilot that disappointed

A diagnosis of why it fell short and whether the idea is worth another attempt.

NGOs and funded projects

A realistic AI component, with costs and risks, for a proposal or program design.

Is it right for you?

An honest fit check

We would rather tell you now than after you have paid for the wrong thing.

A good fit if

  • You want to adopt AI but do not know where to start.
  • You are about to spend a significant amount and want an independent view.
  • Different departments are experimenting with no shared direction.
  • You need a plan you can present to a board, partners or funders.

Probably not the right choice if

  • You already know exactly what to build. Go straight to development and save the fee.
  • You want a consultant to endorse a decision that has already been made. We will give you our honest assessment either way.

Questions

Frequently asked

Straight answers to what people ask us most about this service.

Where should a business start with AI?

Start with one task that is frequent, time-consuming and already done on a computer, and where mistakes are easy to catch. Give staff proper training on a general assistant first, since that alone often produces the quickest gains, then move to a single well-chosen automation.

Is our company too small to benefit from AI?

No. Small teams often benefit most, because each person covers several roles. For a small business the right step is usually a few well-chosen subscriptions and good training, not a custom system, and we will say so.

Do you only recommend your own services?

No. The roadmap names the best option for each need, including off-the-shelf tools you can set up yourself and cases where doing nothing is the right call.

What do we receive at the end?

A written roadmap: the opportunities ranked by impact and effort, a recommendation for each, budget ranges, risks, a suggested first pilot and how to measure it. We also present it to your management team.

How long does an AI assessment take?

It depends on the size of the organization and how many teams are involved. We agree the scope and timeline in writing before starting, and keep it short enough that the findings are still current when you receive them.
