In short

What is an AI chatbot?

An AI chatbot is an assistant that understands questions written in everyday language and answers from your own business information, such as services, prices, policies and stock, instead of following a fixed menu of buttons. It can run on your website, WhatsApp, Viber, Facebook Messenger and Instagram at once, reply in English, Nepali or Romanized Nepali, and pass the conversation to a staff member when needed. Bit Microsystems builds and maintains these chatbots for businesses in Kathmandu and across Nepal.

What is included

Everything needed to make it work in practice

One team covers the full job, so there are no gaps between suppliers.

01

Knowledge setup

We build the assistant’s knowledge from your website, brochures, price lists and the questions your staff answer every day.

02

Channels

A website chat widget plus WhatsApp, Viber, Facebook Messenger and Instagram, all answered by the same assistant.

03

Lead capture and qualification

The assistant collects name, contact details and need, scores the inquiry, and sends it to your CRM, a spreadsheet or email.

04

Human handover

When a question needs a person, staff receive the conversation so far and continue in the same chat.

05

Language and tone

Replies are tested in English, Nepali and Romanized Nepali, in a tone that matches how your business speaks.

06

Monitoring and monthly review

We read the questions it could not answer and update its knowledge, so it gets better with use.

Where it is used

Who this helps, and how

Typical situations we design for in Kathmandu and across Nepal.

Education consultancies

Answer questions on countries, courses, intakes and documents, collect student details and book a counselling slot.

Hotels, travel and trekking agencies

Reply to guests in different time zones about availability, itineraries and inclusions while your team is asleep.

Clinics and hospitals

Handle timings, doctor availability and appointment requests. The assistant gives information, never medical advice.

Retail and e-commerce

Product questions, delivery areas and order status, answered immediately on the channel the customer already uses.

Rule-based chatbot vs AI chatbot

Older chatbots follow a decision tree of buttons. AI chatbots understand free text. Each has a place, and a button menu is still the right tool for some simple jobs.

How we work

From first conversation to a system your team uses

  1. 01

    Collect content

We gather what the assistant should know and what it must never say.

  2. 02

    Build and test

We test with real customer questions, including Nepali and mixed-language messages, and fix what it gets wrong.

  3. 03

    Soft launch

It goes live on one channel first, with staff watching the conversations.

  4. 04

    Review and expand

We add channels and capabilities once the answers are consistently good.

Is it right for you?

An honest fit check

We would rather tell you now than after you have paid for the wrong thing.

A good fit if

  • Customers ask the same questions again and again.
  • Inquiries arrive in the evening, at weekends or from other time zones.
  • Messages are spread across several apps and replies are slow.
  • You have, or can write down, clear information about your services and prices.

Probably not the right choice if

  • You receive only a handful of inquiries a week. A person replying is fine.
  • Every answer depends on case-by-case negotiation. The bot should then only collect details and hand over.
  • You want the bot to give medical, legal or financial advice. We limit it to information and booking.

Questions

Frequently asked

Straight answers to what people ask us most about this service.

Can an AI chatbot reply in Nepali?

Yes. Current AI models understand and write Nepali in Devanagari and also handle Romanized Nepali, which is how many customers type. Quality is good for common questions but not perfect, so we test with real messages from your customers and adjust the wording before launch.

Can the chatbot work on WhatsApp and Viber?

Yes. Both require an approved business account, and the platforms charge their own messaging fees. We handle the application and explain those fees before you commit, so you know the full monthly cost.

What happens when the chatbot does not know the answer?

It says so, offers to connect the customer to a staff member, and records the question. Those unanswered questions are reviewed each month and used to improve its knowledge.

Will the chatbot make things up?

We reduce that risk in three ways: the assistant answers only from content you have approved, it is instructed to decline anything outside that content, and it is tested against real questions before launch. No AI system is perfect, which is why we monitor conversations after launch as well.

How long does it take to build an AI chatbot?

A website chatbot that answers from existing content is the quickest to launch. WhatsApp usually takes longer, mainly because of the platform’s business verification rather than the build itself. You get a timeline with the quote.

What does an AI chatbot cost?

There is a one-time setup cost and a monthly cost. The monthly cost covers AI model usage, which grows with the number of conversations, any platform messaging fees, and maintenance. We estimate all three from your expected message volume before you decide.
